Resident Opportunites for Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) ProgramThe Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) grant program provides funds for job training and supportive services to help residents of public housing transition from welfare to work. Services available through this program include:

  • Job training to prepare residents for specific fields of employment
  • Job placement and linkages to local employers
  • Educational programming for youth and adults
  • College preparatory classes
  • Supportive services, such as child care and transportation, help families take advantage of training and employment opportunities
